Bull Metal produces thousands of products each year, many of which we powder coat. Our toolboxes, POP Displays, cabinets, industrial storage products, storage racks, and electrical enclosures are all powder coated. We have several reasons that we powder coat. Many of which are for safety, durability, and to reduce VOC Emissions.
Safety: Since powder is considered inert and does not require special handling or disposal, powder coating media is much safer to handle and isn’t hazardous to retouch. Any waste powder can be swept up and handled without special safety equipment, and it can be thrown away with shop trash.
Durability: Powder coating protects the products we produce. It provides a more durable finish than liquid paints can offer, while still providing an attractive finish. Powder coated products are more resistant to, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions. In turn, this reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues. Environmentally Friendly: Unlike liquid paint, no solvents are used in powder coating, so only negligible amounts of VOCs are released into the air. In addition, unused or over sprayed powder can be recovered, so any waste is minimal and can be disposed of easily and safely.
